John Newdigate and Kimathi Mafafo in Woman&Home Magazine

Artworks by John Newdigate and Kimathi Mafafo have been featured in a recent article by Woman&Home magazine titled, 11 reasons to not miss the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, published in anticipation of the fair's opening on 16 February.

The article highlights the fair's special project 'Cabinet | Clay' which will bring together a selection of ceramic works showcasing artists working in clay. There are three EBONY/CURATED artists who will be represented in this section- John Newdigate, Lisa Ringwood, Ian Garrett and Siyabonga Fani.

The second spotlight in the article is on a new section debuting at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair in 2024- the Generations section. Writer Marion Volkwyn explains that Generations, "sets artists from different generations in dialogue with each other to create intergenerational conversations and engender a deeper understanding of both emerging and established voices. By setting off interactions between a selection of 10 artists at different stages of their careers, this section aims to bring to light new insights into both evolving concerns that span generations as well as the jumps and discontinuities, intersections and departures." Gallery artist Kimathi Mafafo will be featured in this new section, in conversation with Nigerian artist Ayobami Ogungbe.
