Bio

Keabetswe Seema, (b. 1999) is a contemporary fine artist who works at creating professional art through various mediums such as photography, sculpture, mixed media, painting, and printmaking. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Seema explores themes of Afro-Surrealism, spirituality, and personal reflection. Her work explores the politics of the black female body and identity, using various art forms such as monotypes, photography, collage, sound, and mixed media.

Seema is currently the 2024 recipient of the Blessing Ngobeni Art Prize.
